Auto Fuel Tank Repair Kit

Our repair kit is more than just pouring in a quart of sealer and sloshing it around. If gum, varnish, sludge, or fuel are inside, they must be removed first.

Step 1 - Clean the tank with MARINE CLEAN which is an exceptional product that cleans and degreases in one application without leaving residues, noxious fumes or flammable solvents. No other cleaner works as fast or as well.

Step 2 - Prep it with Metal Ready.  METAL READY provides the best adhesion for POR-15® on any metal surface, including aluminum and shiny polished metal surfaces. Our simple process gently etches metal, creating an ideal anchor pattern for coatings such as POR-15®, while simultaneously leaving a zinc phosphate coating to insure chemical bonding of paint and steel.

Step 3 - Seal it.   Our U.S. STANDARD TANK SEALER™, like all other sealers, will not work in a contaminated tank.  U.S. STANDARD FUEL TANK SEALER has the new Stage II fuels which have a high alcohol content. It has superior strength and fuel resistance, and does not contain Methyl Ethyl Ketone, a highly flammable and deadly carcinogen (cancer-causing). U.S. STANDARD FUEL TANK SEALER is non-flammable and is environmentally safe and was formulated and developed in our own laboratories due to the demand for a high-tech sealer impervious to all fuels. 

Step 4 - Follow up.  When fuel sits for days or weeks at a time it breaks down chemically. Bad fuel can cause problems in your fuel system. When you pour POR-15 FUEL PRESERVATIVE & STABILIZER in your tank, oxygen is chemically isolated (preventing oxidation) and corrosive compounds are neutralized (stopping rust formation). Our special dispenser bottle will measure exactly for you with no waste. Contains NO alcohol. Use 1ounce per 3 gallons for normal maintenance, or 1ounce per gallon to thoroughly clean your fuel system
